Child Safety Policy

1. Our Commitment

Zlate is an adult-only platform designed for users aged 18 and older to connect for sports and recreational activities. We have zero tolerance for any content or behavior that endangers children.

2. Prohibition of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

Zlate strictly prohibits all forms of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This includes, but is not limited to:

• Any content depicting, promoting, or facilitating child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Grooming or solicitation of minors for sexual purposes
• Sharing, distributing, or requesting sexually explicit content involving minors
• Any communication intended to exploit, harm, or endanger children
• Attempts to contact minors for inappropriate purposes
• Sextortion or any form of coercion involving minors

3. Age Verification

All Zlate users must be at least 18 years of age. We implement the following measures:

• Users must confirm they are 18+ during registration
• Phone number verification is required for all accounts
• Invite-only access helps maintain community integrity
• Accounts suspected of being underage will be immediately suspended pending verification

4. Reporting Mechanism

We provide multiple ways to report child safety concerns:

• In-app reporting: Use the Safety Center in Settings to report users or content
• Direct email: Contact our dedicated child safety team at childsafety@zlate.app
• All reports are treated with urgency and confidentiality

5. Our Response to Violations

When we identify or receive reports of potential CSAE, we take immediate action:

• Immediate account suspension and content removal
• Preservation of evidence for law enforcement
• Mandatory reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)
• Cooperation with law enforcement agencies worldwide
• Permanent ban from the platform with no possibility of reinstatement

6. CSAM Detection and Handling

Zlate maintains robust processes for detecting and addressing child sexual abuse material:

• Proactive monitoring of content shared on the platform
• Immediate removal of any detected CSAM
• Reporting to appropriate authorities as required by law
• Regular review and improvement of detection methods

7. Legal Compliance

Zlate complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including:

• U.S. federal laws including 18 U.S.C. § 2258A (mandatory reporting)
• PROTECT Act and related child protection legislation
• International child protection standards and regulations
• Google Play and Apple App Store child safety requirements

8. User Feedback and Safety Concerns

We actively encourage user feedback on safety matters:

• Use the in-app Safety Center to provide feedback

• All feedback is reviewed and used to improve our safety measures
